National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship is a Centrally sponsored scholarship scheme. It is implemented by the Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development with the objective to financially support the meritorious students of economically weaker sections of the society.

NMMS encourages disadvantaged students to continue their studies at the secondary level by offering a scholarship amount of INR 12,000 per annum. Every year, this MCM scholarship is made active during the month of November and almost 100,000 scholarships are disbursed among bright students.

NMMS disburses a total of 100,000 scholarships every year at the rate of INR 12,000 per annum, i.e. INR 1,000 per month, to the selected students. Under National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship, the scholarship amount is paid by the State bank of India (SBI) on one go. The amount is directly transferred into the students’ accounts through Public Financial Management System (PFMS). The number of scholarships allocated to each State and UT is done on the basis of students’ enrolment in class 7 & 8 and their population in the respective states. The details of the NMMS amount are highlighted below.

NMMS – Eligibility

  • Applicable only for the meritorious and needy students of India, this MCM scholarship scheme expects all the applicants to fulfil the eligibility conditions mentioned below in order to be eligible for the selection test conducted to award the scholarship.
  • The candidates who wish to apply for this MCM scholarship must be regular students studying in class 9 after getting clear promotion from class 8 with a score of at least 55% or equivalent grades.
  • The candidates must be pursuing education from Government/Local Body/Government-aided schools.
  • For continuation of scholarship in higher secondary school, the candidate must score at least 60% marks in class 10 board exam.
  • For continuing the scholarship in class 12, the scholarship awardee must get clear promotion from class 11 in the first attempt itself with a score of 55% marks or equivalent. For students belonging to SC/ST category, a relaxation of 5% is given in marks.
  • The candidates’ annual family income should not be more than INR 1.5 Lakh.
  • Also, those students who are enrolled in NVS, KVS, Sainik schools and private schools are not eligible for this MCM scholarship.

Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja gave information: The use of technology in the police system will be increased

 In order to improve the law and order situation in Gujarat, our government has also made intensive plans to increase the number of police personnel and the number of police stations.  More than 49,000 police personnel have been recruited in Gujarat in the last seven years.  And 13,000 more will be recruited next year.  The state government is also providing police personnel with modern technology and training to use it, said Minister of State for Home Affairs Pradipsinh Jadeja.

 In the meeting of the Advisory Committee of the MLA Housing Committee of Police Housing, Border Security, Civil Defense, Gram Rakshak Dal, Jail, Narcotics Excise, Non-Resident Gujarati Division, Minister Jadeja suggested to improve the law and order situation of all the MLAs.

 Pradipsinh Jadeja said that while the police and the Home Department were working as a team to maintain law and order situation in the state, the state government was also moving ahead with manpower, skill upgradation, infrastructure upgradation and increasing use of technology.

 Jadeja further said that work on the Conviction Improvement Project is also in progress to increase the conviction rate in the state.  It is planned to provide guidance for 24-hour investigation.  Provision has been made to appoint a retired police officer as a persuasive officer.  Under this project, there will be separate rooms for investigation, call center, coordination of Rakshasakti University for drafting, training facilities and services of police personnel will be availed in a more comprehensive manner.

 At the meeting, suggestions were made by the MLAs to intensify police operations with regard to harassment of anti-social elements to protect poor families from usurpers, establishment, new police stations, vehicles, enforcement of narcotics laws.
 The consultation meeting was attended by Director General of Police Ashish Bhatia, Home Department and NRG.  Top officials of the department were present and provided necessary details.

Full Details About Palak Mata Pita Yojana: 

There is no other option like family for the healthy and balanced development of children. However, due to some adverse circumstances, it is not possible for the fatherless orphaned children to grow up in their natural family, thus raising the option in their children’s institutions. According to the sociological point of view, the institution can only be considered a last resort for the child. Thus, the Government has initiated the implementation of foster parents with a view to ensuring that their destitute orphan children are raised in an alternative environment rather than being raised in an institutional environment so that they can have a healthy and balanced development.

Name of the scheme: – Foster parent plan

Eligibility Criteria: – 

Under this scheme, all orphan children between the ages of 3 to 6 years living in Gujarat, whose parents do not exist, will be eligible to benefit. The child whose father has died and the mother is remarried will have to submit the marriage certificate of the mother remarrying.

Rate of Assistance: 

Parents or close relatives who are caring for orphaned children will be paid monthly assistance of Rs.

Income limit: 

Annual income of the foster parents is to be more than Rs.1,3 in the rural area and Rs.1,3 in the urban area.

Terms of the plan

The beneficiaries raised by the foster parents will be required to place children between the ages of 4 to 8 years in Anganwadi and must provide compulsory schooling to children older than 6 years. If the child’s study is stopped, the support will be stopped.
A certificate of the Program Officer regarding ICDS (Integrated Child Development Scheme) for children going to Anganwadi and the Principal of the school concerned for the children going to school will have to be submitted by the 1st of July every year.
A certified example of the death of a child’s parents must be provided.

If the mother of the child is remarried and the child will stay with the mother, then assistance will be stopped.
A sample of the application can be downloaded free from the account’s website https://sje.gujarat.gov.in/dsd or from the nearest Children’s Home / District Social Security Officer’s Office / District Child Protection Officer’s Office. Assistance will be available from the month of an application upon approval of the application.

The implementation of the scheme has to be done at the district level by the superintendent of the district’s children’s home. In the district where the Children’s Home is not functioning, the District Child Protection Unit will have to accept the form of the scheme and further action will be taken. And the responsibility of payment will be with the District Social Security Officer.
Sponsorship and Approval Committee (SFCAC) at each district level will have to review the recommendations and order the eligible foster parents to pay for assistance.

Children who are availing any other schemes of the same state or center will not be eligible for this scheme.

Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani is known for his compassion towards animals and decisive governance. Keeping in mind the welfare of the cattle owners of the state and making a path for Atmanirbhar Gujarat, the state government has announced a financial aid scheme for the registered Panjarapoles of the state.

How the benefits can be availed?

Only those panjarapoles which possess land as per the revenue record are entitled to the benefits of the scheme. Chief Minister Shri Vijay believes in transparent and full proof administration so that benefits reach effectively. Therefore, the online application facility is available through I Khedut portal.

In order to get the benefits of the scheme, interested parties will have to submit print out of online application along with land record 7/12,8-A 6 copies, Photograph of the land taken from GPS app with date and time to Gau Seva and Gauchar board within 30 days.

Benefitting organizations will be required to maintained the record of the fodder production and send it to Gau seva and Gauchar Vikas Board at the end of the year.

With the aim of transparent administration, CM Shri Vijay Rupani has instructed that the detail work with the help of GPS app for the photographs of the land is done before initiation of the task. Such photographs with the time and date mentioned in it will be required during claim submission.

Any other assistance component received by panjarapoles in last three years by Gau seva and Gauchar Vikas board will not receive the same in this scheme.

For storage construction, registered panjarapoles can avail benefit from the grant of Hon’ble member of Parliament or member of legislative assemble of their area on their own.

Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani has clearly instructed that for the cultivation of land among panjarapoles, irrigation canals and other water sources should be used in priority.

Due to sensible approach and compassion in heart for animals, CM Shri Vijay Rupani’s action will make sure that animals don’t strive for food during tough time and they get easy access to fodder.

Scheme Benefits:

  1. Registered Panjarapole with1-10 hector land in possession will get assistance upto Rs. 10 lakh for tube well.
  2. Assistance of Rs. 8 Lakh for solar electric panel with the aim to reduce electricity bill by promoting solar energy.
  3. Assistance of Rs 1.25 Lakh for chaff cutter.
  4. Panjarapoles with 4-10 hector land will get maximum assistance of Rs. 3.50 Lakh for green fodder baler so that grass can be stored in the form of bale.
  5. Assistance of Rs. 5 Lakh for sprinkler irrigation system.
  6. Assistance ranging from Rs 35 thousand to 1.05 Lakh for rain gun irrigation system.
  7. It is important that during natural calamities, there is no scarcity of fodder for animals. With this sensible aim in mind, CM Shri Vijay Rupani has decided to provide these financial benefits to registered panjarapoles and expressed his sensibility for a larger cause.
  8. Delegations from Panjapoles requested CM Shri Vijay Rupani regarding scarcity of fodder during famine and other aspects of trouble for the management of animal lives. Shri Vijay Rupani, who believes in to live, and let others live, expressed his compassion through this remarkable scheme for registered Panjarapoles.
  9. CM has decided that registered Panjarapoles with 1-10 hectare land can get assistance up to Rs. 10 Lakh for tube well and can make their grass production.
  10. In order to reduce the electricity bill cost with the use of solar energy, it is decided thatt registered panjarapoles with 1-10 hectare land can get assistance up to 8 lakh Rs. for solar electric panel.
  11. Panjarapoles with 4-10 hector land will get maximum assistance of Rs. 3.50 lakh for green fodder baler and panjarapoles with 1-10 hector land will get assistance of Rs. 1.25 Lakh for chaff cutter.Green fodder baler is used to make bales of grass fodder so that it saves space in storage and can be easily transported from one spot to another for daily usage.

Government aims at making panjarapoles Atmanirbhar by making their land fertile. It is important that water reaches to the land so that fodder production can be scaled up. With the scheme for pipeline for irrigation, the benefit of Rs. 30 thousand for one hectare and Rs.20 thousand for each hectare land will be provided. Maximum assistance of Rs. 2.10 Lakh can be availed under the scheme.

Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani also believes in the calculated use of water for fodder production so that water wastage can be reduced. With this approach, panjarapoles opting for Sprinkler irrigation system for grass production will get Rs.50 thousand benefit per hectare with maximum assistance up to Rs 5 Lakh . For Rain gun irrigation system, benefits go from Rs.35 thousand for 1-3 hectare area,Rs. 70 thousand Rs for 4-7 hectare and Rs. 1.05 lakh for the area of 8-10 hectare.

The state government has allotted 100 Crore Rs for this purpose in the 2020-21 budget. It is important that registered panjarapole get benefit of this scheme through transparent administration. For this, digital arrangements are made for the process. Online applications can be made on I Khedut portal for this purpose.

Now registered panjarapoles can make their land cultivable and with the availability of water, fertilizer and seeds, the land can be used for fodder production for the animals.

The first semester exam will start from March 15. All students will be required to appear for the exam in the classroom.   • Fill in your mobile number, LPG consumer ID, state name, distributor information here.
  • Then click on 'Feedback Type'.
  • Select the ‘Complaint’ option and click on the ‘Next’ button.
  • Your bank details will appear in the new interface and you will know whether the subsidy amount has been credited to the account or not.

How to Check for Gas Subsidy Status Online from mobile?

  1. Customers can receive the subsidy in their bank accounts through two methods. 
  2. Aadhar number will be the medium of transfer. This number will have to be linked to his/her bank account and to the provided LPG consumer number. 
  3. In case the customer does not have an Aadhar number, then he/she can avail the subsidy directly to the bank account by either providing the bank account information to the LPG distributor or by providing the 17 digit LPG consumer ID to his/her bank.
